For years, I was like everyone else in this world: made up a New Years Resolution and didn't stick with it, in fact, by the end of the year I had no clue what I had even said I was going to do. This year, 2012, I told myself I was not going to bite my nails. I did all the tricks: nasty tasting nail polish, nail hardener... what worked? Prenatal vitamins and green tea infused nail hardener and nail polish. New color every week. In doing this "no bite" thing I also learned how to file my nails when they're too long instead of just going straight to my mouth. I also feel like I wasn't as sick this year as I have been in previous years. Don't get me wrong, I still got sick, because I have the worst immune system ever, but still: I believe that because I wasn't putting my dirty hands in my mouth, I wasn't getting as many germs. Just let me believe it, ok? Oops. I've gotten off subject ... ahem .. where was I? ... Oh! Right! SO anyway! After learning that I can in fact keep a NYR I could do one again (might even make another blog about it to hold me accountable) and I've come up with two for 2013.
Get Fit
By this I mean: clean eating, exercising, and tightening and toning everything. I want a 6 pack (and not just in my fridge), I don't want my thighs to touch (although if that's how they were meant to be then I'm not going to focus too much on that), and overall just look GREAT. I may blog about the journey, it'll cause me to be held accountable, but I think it will just be for those who I know. Like a secret blog, if possible.
Daily Devotionals
I have the Bible App for my phone and awhile back it said "Visit the Bible app to get great devotionals for this Christmas season". There's an idea! So I went to see what they had to offer and they had this one called "Carols of Christmas: A devotion". It gives verses linked with the traditional Christmas songs. Its been a nice nightly thing. So I think I'll add that to my NYR for 2013.I may come back to this page to add more to it, but since my posts are about cooking, I decided that this was the best option to do: make a page.
I hope you are thinking about your personal goals as well. If I can do it, you can too!!
yours truly,
dauphin gal
