melted snowman cookies

merry Christmas everyone! i am delighted to tell you that i'm currently skiing and enjoying time with family. there are 16 of us which turns out to be awesome because there are so many sweets and treats here its a bit ridiculous. i've never really contributed to the cookie exchange amongst the crews until this year, because obviously i just picked up this hobby later in the year. so i decided to make melted snowman cookies. it was a task, like everything else i attempt to do, but again, that's probably my OCD kicking in.

so... i got the idea off of pinterest, like always and then i was sent to this website and it was easy to follow. However, i of course messed up the marshmallow step, and my first decorating snowman wasn't so terrific, but it got better. i didn't use cookie icing, i just used wilton white icing and it worked out better, i think. anyway, i haven't had one yet, but one of my cousin's significant other's said they were awesome. yay! success!!

cake pops

Oh my gosh! By far my favorite thing I've made so far from Pinterest. I guess the santa hats and elmo cupcakes are in the running too. Sheerah, she's like my second mom, she told me about how she had made cake pops for her daughter's birthday party and I knew I wanted to try it. So I finally made the time to do it.

I got the instructions off of this website and it was so easy to follow. V and I had so much fun making them. I used yellow cake and chocolate frosting. I bought mint chocolate candy melts and vanilla flavored (that were actually a green color). So I had two different colors of cake pops. Green and Brown. With silver edible glitter. Just like ratedbymom said, next time I'll get a bigger styrofoam so I can do more at a time rather than 12 at a time. My batch made 44, but like most of my baked goods, I lost one in the process, but still, 43 cake pops is a lot. Next time, I'll definitely use pink candy melts or maybe I'll make some snowman ones for our family ski trip next week. Super cute.

Either way, it was fun and easy and I like easy. And fun.

cheesy chicken ranch spaghetti and garlic knots

Sounds delicious, no? I also cooked broccoli with it. It was SO YUMMY! Next time I'll try to do it with the Lasagna like Pinterest said I should, but I forgot to buy some so I just used Spaghetti. Penne pasta would work too. Here's the instructions for the Cheesy Chicken Ranch Lasagna. She has other great recipes on there too, that I'm sure have popped up on pinterest as well. Then I found this easy recipe for Garlic Knots. She used the biscuits and I used the Crescent rolls so mine look a little scrawny. LOL. Anyway, I told V* that I would probably brush the paste on in the inside as well as the outside because I had plenty paste left over. Super easy and it was a big success. Can't wait to eat the leftovers for the next few days. :)

I have to finish these christmas crafts ASAP, they're so cute and the materials are taking up more room than the actual craft will.
